The gruppo nanou was founded seven years ago and participated in UNIDRAM in the last two years with part 1 & 2 of their ”Motel-Trilogy“. The last episode “Antechamber “ is completing the trilogy.
Performance
Constriction. Space. Compulsion. A hidden place. A box not much bigger than a chest in the flickering of the light. In it is a room. A surreal miniature of a room inhabited by a woman. In her proximity, a man with a tall top hat. A giant in the shadow, diabolical. Everything appears to be a gloomy bluff, a macabre illusion in a mysterious vaudeville show. Until the woman disappears, together with the room and a third person, a strange doorman shows up. “Antechamber“ is like an uncanny sequence from a dream in which the figures are moving about like ghosts, a stream of images with a dense atmosphere and full of symbolic relevance, reminding the viewer of Dr. Jekyll & Mr. Hyde as well as of themes from David Lynch’s movies.
