A picnic, a crackling campfire and birdsong. But the idyll is deceptive. With the force of unrestrained bullets, two men collide with one another, along with their different notions of love and desire, freedom and imprisonment. Wooing, stalking, attacking – friends turn into traitors, opponents, and ultimately enemies. And bodies turn into antibodies. Inspired by the Chinese classic text Tao Te King, this dance is like a pendulum movement between wild frenzy and quiet harmony – until the pendulum swings faster and at some point, both principles merge indistinguishably.

The dancer and choreographer Ferenc Fehér is the wild child of the Hungarian dance scene. As a self-taught dancer, he has developed a distinctive style that mixes street dance and martial art elements with everyday movements and traditional dance. For his TAO TE production, Ferenc Fehér was awarded the Rudolf Laban Prize in 2010 as best performance in Hungary in the category of contemporary dance.
