An entire solar system appears to unfold: Spheres of differing sizes hang suspended in the air – spinning, rolling, expanding, and collapsing. Meanwhile, sand trickles from unknown sources to create new landscapes or conjures up a fleeting view of a golden comet’s tail. In this continually moving space, a body strives to find peace, balance and tranquillity. RAUM · ZEIT not only visualises the complexity of time but also explores the interplay between body and object to its very limits, merging in a mesmerising and sensual manner contemporary circus with dance, installation and electronic sound design.

Tobias Piero Dohm is a Berlin-based artist who utilises natural materials like sand to create visual worlds that convey to his audiences a deep connection between human beings, nature and time. Together with sound designer Fabian Laute from Cologne, he works at the interface of contemporary juggling performance, object installation and experimental electronic live music. The duo’s inimitable productions are defined by their cross-genre interplay between movement, object manipulation, stage design and the soundscapes of analogue synthesisers.
