Company
Founded by director, costume and set designer Ursula Maria Berzborn and theatre maker Nils Duemke, this international group of artists integrates elements of image, street and object theatre, with the visual arts, installation and land art providing important sources of inspiration.

Performance
Bamboo poles several metres high, figures dressed in white on stilts in choreographed motion like clear, abstract lines reaching up towards the sky. Do we see blades of grass in the wind or a parade of archaic warriors? Where do they come from? Where are they going? With their site-specific staging of balance, pictures, light and sound, Grotest Maru open up a universe of associations.
