A journey from the light through darkness and back again – GUIDE is like an optical illusion that dissolves the limits of time. It’s as if you were wandering through a science-fiction version of the afterlife: present, past and future are merged into a visionary space by means of high-precision light effects and movements. This space is filled with the question: What if one day you could look back on your life? Would there be things that you could have done differently, and could you have avoided what you now think were mistakes?

Věra Ondrašíková is a graduate of the Academy of Performing Arts in Prague. She has danced in numerous Czech and international choreographies. She won the Most Outstanding Dancer Award at the MASDANZA Festival on the Canary Islands. For the production GUIDE she worked together with the visual artist Dan Gregor, who is a member of the artists’ group Macula and has developed numerous interactive, dynamic light installations. GUIDE received the Light Design Award, the Audience Award and the Dancer of the Year prize at the Czech Dance Platform in 2016.
