An icy cold, in which heaven and earth are indistinguishable. ‘White Out’ is a homage to all the mountaineers who have disappeared in the endless white of the summits. The conquest of what seems to be useless becomes a dizzying journey of initiation into the abyss and tragedy of a roped party. ‘White Out’ presents, with filmic intensity, the mountain as a magnifying glass, underneath which we are able to examine human nature more closely. Physical theatre combines with new circus as well as climbing to create a compelling and visually powerful choreography, in which three protagonists seem at times to free themselves from the constraints of gravity.

The choreographer, dancer and acrobat Piergiorgio Milano is a crossover artist working between dance, theatre and contemporary circus. In his productions, he combines a refined technical virtuosity with the poetic power of images, and, with his distinctive physical style, thus creates visually stunning stage worlds that blur the borders between genres. Following an international career as a performer, he now tours around the whole world as a choreographer with his own works, many of which have received major prizes and awards. In addition, he teaches physical theatre and contemporary dance at various European academies.
