Boca Loca Lab was founded by the director and theatre critic Jiri Adamek, a theatre predominantly working according to the principles of music. Recently Adamek received the Personality of the Year Award at the New Wave Festival for alternative theatre in the Czech Republic for his experimental stage composition and his theoretical contributions.
How does a person become a politician, how do honourable ideas to better the world turn into mere political gestures, even entire political or party agendas? Ticks, Ticks, Politics is a small marvel of language and music, consisting of urban throngs, sociological books, poems by Enrst Jandl and musical stimuli by the French composer Jean-Christoph Feldhandler. Voices, fragments of words, syllables, sounds – four actors on four microphones celebrate the pataphysics of words and the incredibility of expression and behaviour of (not only) politicians.
